Radiological armamentarium radically changed the strategy to tackle towards the diagnosis and treatment by biliary tract disease, not only for the patients groups conventionally treated, but for those patients abandoned and not treated previously. For example, more and more patients with bile duct stones, previously treated by surgery, are now treated by interventional methods, and more and more patients with advanced and early bile duct cancer are treated surgically and interventionally because the diseases can be diagnosed and staged accurately by noninvasive tools.
